2.3 Test Area Analyser

The Test Area Analyzer is a tool designed for teritorrial analysis using open-source data from OpenStreetMap. It automatically collects and analyzes local amenities in a given area, providing a detailed understanding of the services and facilities available. The tool categorizes these amenities based on predefined “smartness” dimensions, such as accessibility, sustainability, digital infrastructure, or public service efficiency.

In addition to its visual mapping capabilities, which display the distribution and categorization of amenities, the Test Area Analyzer integrates AI-powered technology to generate textual summaries of its findings. This summary highlights key insights, such as the presence of essential services (e.g., schools, hospitals), gaps in infrastructure, and the overall “smartness” level of the area, offering users actionable intelligence for urban planning or decision-making.
