APRIL 18, 2024 - WEBINAR THREE Presentation of the role of digital technology within the Smart Village framework, contextualizing theoretical contributions through an online workshop on Miro to tailor it to the specific project of each territory. STUDY TRIP: SEPTEMBER 23-26, 2024 The study tour is designated for pilot territories and participants in the action training. Its aim is to explore inspiring practices associated with the themes of the projects and working groups established by the pilot territories and action training participants. The central theme of the trip is local collaboration and the role of communities in fostering collaborative approaches, particularly with residents, for community services. Through visits and meetings, we examined resident participation across various themes: economic attractiveness, housing, mobility, health, social connections, and reception policy. Capitalization workshops facilitated the connection with the Smart Village methodology (participation, experimentation, digital support, etc.) and enabled participants to envision actionable steps while identifying transferable elements for their respective territories. We were graciously received by the PETR Sud Lozère, which organized a customized itinerary of visits and meetings for us. Since 2009, the region has actively pursued an innovative policy aimed at sustaining and welcoming its population. Initially spearheaded by the Pays Gorges Causses Cévennes, the reception policy was subsequently adopted by the Causses Cévennes Territorial Association, which succeeded the Pays and the CBE des Cévennes in 2015. Currently, it is managed by the PETR Sud Lozère through the Comm’Une Nouvelle vie program, which supports initiatives to welcome residents of local communities, in collaboration with the Lozère Nouvelle Vie program led by the department, focusing on communication. As a rural and mid-mountain territory, Lozère shares notable similarities with the pilot territories. We have opted to distance ourselves from these pilot territories to gain perspective on the challenges they face.
