By On the 23rd of June the 5th SmartAlps Webinar on «LoRaWAN: The smart solution for municipalities – an exchange of experiences» took place. Two presenters revealed the factors that are important to ensure a successful implementation and sustainable operation of LoRaWAN systems.
Thanks to Manuel Schär – CEO of SPE engineering and consultant of municipality of Biberist – the participants discovered the setting up of a municipal LoRaWAN and the main steps in community building that should accompany such a project. Stefan Clara, mayor of the municipality of Amlach (Austria) presented experiences from his municipality with LoRaWAN and data space management.
